Accelerating renewable energy expansion
For over 20 years, Statkraft has been at the forefront of developing, building, and operating wind farms, and for over 10 years, we have been developing solar parks, too. Germany is a core market for our wind and solar energy projects.
We aim to strengthen our position as a top developer in the sector, focusing on greenfield projects, repowering, partially developed projects or entire portfolios, either independently or in partnerships.
Renewable energy for green hydrogen in Germany
Our commitment to renewable energy extends to the hydrogen sector. By 2032, we aim to have at least 250 megawatts of installed capacity for green hydrogen production in Germany, with up to 200 megawatts at our Emden power plant site. We are planning a 10 MW pilot project, expected to be operational by 2026, provided the necessary permits and funding are in place.
