The new plant will have a capacity of 202 MWdc generating enough clean energy to power 30,000 homes annually. During construction, the project will create up to 400 jobs − most of which are being filled by people from the region.
Powell Creek is Avangrid's second renewable energy project in Ohio, where the company has the Blue Creek wind farm, which has a capacity of 304 MW and generates enough power for around 76,000 homes each year since 2012
